Habitat to hold drive for recycling electronics

MONROE - Green County Habitat for Humanity will be holding an electronics recycling drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at Minhas Brewery, 1208 14th Ave.

Volunteers will be there to unload unwanted items and Minhas Brewery is offering a coupon for a discounted brewery tour for all donors.

GCHFH has joined up with Vintage Tech Recyclers for the event. Vintage Tech Recyclers guarantees the secure destruction of sensitive computer data and will pay Green County Habitat by the pound for items collected.

Items that will be accepted are computers, laptops, monitors, LCDs, TVs, VC's, DVD players, printers, scanners, modems, CD drives, cables, keyboards, mice, cell phones, camcorders, cameras, game players and joysticks, telephones, pagers, answering machines, speakers, stereo equipment, power supplies, typewriters, calculators, adding machines, fax machines, copiers and postage meters. If there items to donate but can't deliver on Saturday, call (608) 329-4024 to make arrangements for pick up.
