DARLINGTON - Losses through death, as well as other losses in life, can be easier to bear when experiences are shared with others. In order to assist area residents with loss, the Lafayette County Health Department is offering a Grief Support Group. The group is open to the public and free of charge. Each session will consist of a short presentation about an aspect of the grief experience by the facilitators, followed by time for interaction by participants. Refreshments will be provided.
The Grief Support Group will meet from 5:30 until 7 p.m. on Monday evenings, March 30 through May 4, in the Health Department conference room. The Health Department is located at 729 Clay Street in Darlington. Pre-registration is not necessary, but those wishing to join the group after the first session should call Kristie Lueck, RN at (608) 776-4895. Any questions may also be called to Lueck.
