TOWN OF YORK - The Green's Prairie Cemetery Association will hold a Memorial Day program at 1 p.m. Monday at Green's Prairie Cemetery, located on Postville Road, between County H and County A.
The association will honor all veterans buried in GPC, as well as recognize those veterans from the area who died during the Civil War but were buried elsewhere. Civil War Re-enactors with cannon will be present to close out the 150th Year of Remembrance of the Civil War.
Local authors and prairie enthusiasts will present comments about this pioneer prairie cemetery.
The event is open to the public.
