Green County YMCA receives grant

The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin recently gave a grant to the Green County Family YMCA for lifeguard safety equipment.

MONROE — The Green County Family YMCA, Inc. announced recently that is has received a grant from the Monroe Funds Spring 2022 Grant Cycle of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to support their Lifeguard Equipment Project.

Funds received from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin were used to purchase new rescue tubes, ring buoys and a backboard for the YMCA pool. These items are needed equipment for the safety of pool patrons and to be used during lifeguard training for our staff.

The grant is made available from the Community Foundation’s Dr. Fred W. and Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund, of the Monroe Fund. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin is a resource for area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services are working for the betterment of our communities. Grants from the Dr. Fred W. and Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund, of the Monroe Fund have supported the arts, education, environment, health and human services and historic preservation.
