MONROE — The Green County Humane Society (GCHS) recently announced two upcoming fundraising events this May: the annual Garage Sale and the Fast & Furriest 5K. These events are vital in supporting the organization’s mission to provide compassionate care and find forever homes for animals in need.

Garage Sale Fundraiser — May 8-10

The much-anticipated Garage Sale Fundraiser is taking place from Thursday, May 8 through Saturday, May 10. This event offers a treasure trove of items, with all proceeds directly benefiting the animals at GCHS, and the best part, customers name the price. It’s a perfect opportunity to find unique items while supporting a great cause. 

Fast & Furriest 5K — May 17

Lace up those running shoes and leash up a furry friend for the Fast & Furriest 5K on Saturday, May 17. Held at the scenic Sugar River Trail in New Glarus, this fun run welcomes runners, walkers, and well-behaved, leashed dogs. All proceeds from the event will help cover medical expenses for the animals in GCHS care.
