MONROE - The Green County Historical Society is seeking individuals interested in serving on its board of directors.
The term of office is three years and each director is allowed to serve two terms, and then has to take a year off from the board. After the year, he or she may once again may apply to be on the board.
The board currently meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.; however, the date and time may be moved to accommodate board members' schedules.
Interested parties are required to submit an application. Completed applications should be submitted to Brooke Bauman, board president, either via email at brookebauman@ gmail.com or in person at the Monroe Public Library. The deadline for applications is June 9.
All applications will be reviewed by the members of the society at the annual meeting June 21. Those selected to serve will be notified.
