MONROE - Jerry Stabler of Brodhead will discuss arrowheads at The Green County Genealogical Society meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 in the upper level of the Monroe Public Library.
Stabler has been collecting arrowheads for years in Green County area and researching the history of the people that used them.
Stabler has been a member of the society for several years and is currently serving as vice-president.
As a genealogist, he has written a book on the Stabler family and is currently working on other genealogical projects.
The program is open to the public.
It will follow a business meeting to discuss plans for an open house to commemorate moving the genealogical society's holdings to the lower level of the library.
The new research center will be open at 1 p.m. following the meeting.
