MONROE - The Green County Family YMCA is holding the third annual YMCA Badger Tailgate Party at 5 p.m. Oct. 7 at the YMCA, 1307 2nd St., Monroe. This is an adults-only event for people age 21 and older. Tailgating starts at 5 p.m., with the Wisconsin-Nebraska football game starting at 7 p.m.

The Tailgate Party is a fundraiser sponsored by the Green County Family YMCA. Proceeds will benefit the YMCA annual support campaign. The campaign provides financial support for children, teens and families who otherwise would not be able to afford the full cost of YMCA programs and activities. The Green County Family YMCA currently provides scholarships for more than 300 memberships per year. The mission at the YMCA is "to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all."

The event will have local tailgating foods, including Pancho & Lefty's pulled pork, Barb's potato salad and cheese from Colony Brands Inc. Throughout the night there will be snacks, games, raffles and auctions as the game is watched on the big screen. Silent auction items to bid on include a drone, a signed Packers football, a football signed by former UW Badger and current Cincinnati Bengals player Alex Erickson and many more sports and community-themed items.

Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple. To buy tickets or get more information, contact the Green County Family YMCA at 608-325-2003.
