MONROE - The Green-Rock Audubon Society (GRAS) received a grant from the Arthur and Lela Gibbs Fund through the Stateline Community Foundation, in Beloit. The grant $5,467 will help purchase herbicide for the control of garlic mustard and woody invasives such as buckthorn and honeysuckle on land that GRAS owns or manages. Previous awards from the Gibbs fund have enabled GRAS to purchase an ATV to make management efforts and controlled burns more efficient.
