Goat camp Saturday, Oct. 5

MONROE - The Green County Goat Project is continuing its efforts in the educational aspect of the goat project experience by holding a Goat Day Camp event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Green County Fair Grounds. The free event is open to the public and 4-H/FFA members that would like to learn more about goats. There will be educational speakers, demonstrations on making cheese and soaps from goat milk, and games for children of all ages, as well as several breeds of goat for visitors to handle.

The Green County 4-H Goat Project continues to grow in membership every year, from seven children in the late '90s to 29 members.
