MONROE - The Green County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 10 a.m., June 6 in the second floor meeting room at the Monroe Public Library.
The program will include a discussion about resources available at the library. Meetings are open to anyone interested in genealogy.
There will be a short business meeting before the program to finalize plans for the upcoming cemetery art workshop which will be held at 9 a.m. June 13 at the Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe. At the workshop, Minda Powers-Douglas will be speaking on "Cemetery Art: Museums on the Lawns." Douglas is author of "Tombstone Translations" and editor of the Epitaphs Magazine.
