MONROE — The Green County Genealogical Society Research Center will be open by appointment only from Christmas until further notice.
Call 608-921-1537 to make an appointment and leave a message if no answer. The Research Center is available to the public for research. Main holdings are on Green County. Both Rock and Lafayette Counties are well represented as well as several other counties, states, countries and ethnic groups. A large clipping collection of births, marriages and obituaries is also available. Volunteers are on staff to help with research.
There is no meeting in January. Meetings will start again on Feb. 2 and be held on the first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. They are held in the second-floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library.
