Genealogical group offers program on lineage societies

MONROE - The Green County Genealogical Society will have a panel discussion on the "Why and How to Join a Lineage Society" at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 in the second-floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library.

A panel of members of lineage societies will discuss the requirements, process and benefits of joining their societies. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentations.

The GCGS Research Center in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library is available to the public for research from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and the third Saturday of each month, from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Saturday of each month, or by appointment. Volunteers are on staff to help with research.
