MONROE — The Green County Humane Society is inviting the community to kick off the holiday season at its Claus & Paws Open House, held this weekend at the shelter. The festive event will feature behind-the-scenes access to the shelter, opportunities to meet adoptable animals, and special holiday photo sessions with Santa.

In partnership with K9 Eye Photography, attendees can sign up for 10-minute mini photo sessions perfect for individuals, families, and pets. The photo session pricing is as follows:

● $25 for 1 professional photograph

● $75 for a set of 5 photographs

A portion of the proceeds from each session will directly support the shelter’s ongoing work in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for animals in need.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to connect with our mission while enjoying a fun and festive holiday experience,” said Erin Emery, Executive Director of the Green County Humane Society. “We’re excited to welcome visitors into the shelter, introduce them to our adoptable pets, and offer a heartfelt seasonal activity that also benefits the animals.”

During the open house, guests will be able to tour the shelter, talk with staff and volunteers, learn more about adoption and volunteer opportunities, and enjoy a warm, community-oriented atmosphere.
