GCHS garage sale is Oct. 2-4

MONROE - The Green County Humane Society is having its fall garage sale Thursday, Oct. 2 through Saturday, Oct. 4 at Monroe Auto Sales. Hours for the sale are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Bake sale items will be available Thursday.

Donations for the Green County Humane Society rummage sale may be dropped off beginning from noon until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Monroe Auto Sales. No adult clothing or shoes can be accepted.

GCHS will also be hosting a Schwan's Truckload Sale Saturday, Oct. 4 at the garage sale, with a portion of all sales benefiting the shelter. Pre-orders are encouraged and catalogs and order forms are available now at the shelter. Orders can be picked up during the sale. Pre-orders are not necessary, and shoppers are welcome to stop and buy off the Schwan's truck.

GCHS operates an animal shelter at 1500 6 1/2 Ave. in Monroe. Hours of operation are from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. It is closed Monday, Wednesday and holidays.
