GCGS June program on labor union history

MONROE — Ken Germanson, president emeritus of the Wisconsin Labor History Society in Milwaukee, will present the story of how workers struggled to create better lives for their families and for generations to come.

The Green County Genealogical Society meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1 in the second floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library. Refreshments are available before the meeting. The GCGS Research Center located in lower level of the Monroe Public Library is open to the public for research. Research Center hours are: Tuesdays and third Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and first Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. or by appointment: 608-921-1537. Main holdings are on Green County. Both Rock and Lafayette Counties are represented. Volunteers are on staff to help with research.
