GCDC Executive Director receives IEDC Scholarship

MONROE — The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has awarded Olivia Otte, Executive Director of Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) the 2025 Diane Lupke Scholarship.

This scholarship represents an unwavering commitment to the field of economic development and will cover coursework registration fees and the initial exam application fees for Olivia to become a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). The value of the scholarship is over $4,200.

Olivia has been with GCDC since June of 2022 and has made a tremendous impact in economic development in Green County, securing over $5 million in grants for economic development initiatives, over $3 million in funds for housing development projects, and has grown and strengthened private and public partnerships necessary for positive, sustainable growth.

“I am honored to be selected as the 2025 Diane Lupke Scholarship winner from IEDC and grateful to IEDC, Diane Lupke, and the donors who make opportunities like this possible. I am excited to keep learning and bringing new ideas back to Green County,” said Otte.
