ARGYLE - The Argyle American Legion Auxiliary 251 fund-raising drive will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22 to Nov. 29, at the Argyle Community Building.
The annual drive will collect items for military men and women in the hospital.
Suggested items include:
n New clothing Items, including stocking caps, gloves, mittens, scarves, white light weight socks, slippers, slipper socks with rubber tread, afghans and quilts-bed or lap size, handkerchiefs and small pillows for neck support.
n Personal Care Items, including denture care products, mouthwash, disposable razors, shaving cream (small size), aftercare (non-alcoholic), manicure sets, deodorant, hand lotion, shampoo, hair gel, combs and brushes, cotton swabs, liquid soap, lip balm, long-handled shoe horns, back scratches, and women's hygiene products.
n Miscellaneous items requested, including Greeting and Christmas cards, pen/pencils, stationary, envelopes, 44-cent stamps, note pads, phone cards, color books and crayons, puzzles; word search, crosswords, playing cards, cribbage board sets, dominos, checkers, current magazines, comic books, and paperback books (most requested are westerns), new or excellent condition.
n Snack items, including Pringles, snack crackers, peanut butter, jellies, graham crackers, sugar-free hot chocolate mix; and sugar free drink mixes. Please no cookies or candy.
Monetary donations also can be made to Argyle Legion Auxiliary, unit 251, Mary Steep, Treasurer, 16798 Valley Rd, Argyle, WI, 53504.
