Friends Trivia Night celebrates 20 years of Harry Potter

BRODHEAD — The Friends of Brodhead Memorial Public Library celebrated 20 years of Harry Potter on Nov. 14 with a trivia night fundraiser at Bridges Bar & Grill. 

Nine teams, totaling over 50 people, attempted to answer questions about the book and movie series.  Team “Mischief Managed,” consisting of Ariel Barrett, Kristi Cullor, Scarlett Francis, Amanda Heins, Karrissa Porterfield, Jessica Robl, Marcia Schauer and DeeAnna Straub took first place with 45 points. Second place was awarded to team “You’re a Flobberworm!” consisting of Pete, Theresa, Annika, Jakob and Kjersten Bernstein. Third place was awarded to “The Dumbledorks,” consisting of Andy Bates, Ashley Bates, Brooke Haycraft, Emily Krueger, Nick Krueger, Kirsten Novy and Amber Rear.

Harry Potter Trivia Night raised $225 for the Friends of the Library. The next Friends Trivia Night will be in February 2019.
