FREEPORT - Freeport Choral Society's annual spring concert is 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, at St. John United Church of Christ, 1010 S. Park Boulevard, Freeport. David Gutschlag conducts the group with Randy Cook playing keyboards. The Community Handbell Choir will perform as well.
"Gospel Mass" by Robert Ray is the featured work for this concert. There will also be a wide variety of octavos with various musical styles and genres. Spirituals are "You Haven't Seen Anything Yet" and "Nothin' Gonna Stumble My Feet." Other choral arrangements include "Grandfather's Clock," "Let There Be Peace on Earth," and "Over the Rainbow." Irving Berlin's "You're Just in Love" is also featured.
