MONROE — Yard waste drop-off will open April 1 at the Streets Division, 1064 5th Ave., for city of Monroe residents. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday. There will be no attendant on site.

Yard waste drop-off rules are as follows:

●  Bags/boxes must be emptied onto the yard waste pile and placed into the barrels

●  No garbage, lumber, metal or tires allowed

●  No furniture

●  No items containing freon

●  No plastic pots or containers
