Site work continues at the location of the new Monroe High School on the city’s far east side. Foundation was being poured for the main structure on Sept. 12, and approval of the pre-cast panels will be finalized over the next week or two. Leveling of the site, from dirt, rock and clay, continues, with the area of the new baseball and softball fields in the southwest corner of the 71-acre property beginning to be smoothed this week as well. Work on the north entrance is expected to begin before the end of the month.
