MONROE — Saturday, Oct. 26 the Pathfinder club of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will be distributing bags to homes in Monroe requesting donations of non-perishable items. 

The bags will have a flyer attached to them to let individuals donating know the church will bring a trailer Monday, Nov. 4. The flyer also informs people to place the bags on the porch where they are visible for pickup. 

Last year, due to the generosity of the kind people of Monroe, the group was able to deliver more than 2,400 pounds of food and necessities to the pantry. 

This is the 13th year the group has done this fundraiser for the food pantry.
