MONROE - Father Michael Klarer, retired pastor and priest of St. Clare/St Victor Church, will give a lecture on the history of the present church and the congregation at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 for the Green County Historical Society. The talk will take place at the church, 1760 14th St., Monroe.
Attendees will hear about raising a steeple and the flag on the day the Civil War began. The event is open to the public as well as members of the congregation. The talk will be followed by questions.
