‘Farming Soil and Water’ workshop set

DARLINGTON — The University of Wisconsin-Division of Extension, Lafayette County is offering a workshop from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 titled “Farming Soil and Water” at the Lafayette County Ames Road Multi-Purpose Building, 11974 Ames Road, Darlington. Those interested in learning more about farming soil and water should consider attending the workshop. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with a meal at noon. 

Featured speakers include Francisco Arriaga, UW-Extension soil specialist; and Kevin Masarik, UW-Extension groundwater specialist, UW-NPM Program and UW-Discovery Farms. 

Topics will include: 

• Soil: Function, health and resilience 

• Water: Enhance and ensure future quality 

• UW-NPM program strategies 

• UW-Discovery Farms research and results
