MONROE — The Green County Family Farm Adventure will make its return to Cheese Days on Sept. 14-16 in Monroe’s Historic Square showcasing the rich agriculture heritage displayed in Green County as well as in Wisconsin.
The Family Farm Adventure, sponsored by Green County Farm Bureau, includes many educational and hands-on stations designed to help educate festival goers about agriculture in a fun and hands on format.
Those in attendance will have a chance to see how they measure up to farm animals, learn breeds of dairy cattle, and what they eat and test their knowledge about agriculture.
New in 2018, festival goers will help select the grand prize winner from the 2018 spring photo contest from our top five winners, and also be able to take photos during Cheese Days and post them on Green county Farm Bureau Facebook Page for a chance to win prizes. As always, there will be much to do and learn about Green County and Wisconsin agriculture.
Green County Farm Bureau was awarded grant money from the 2007 Green County Farm Technology Days event to aid in developing the Family Farm Adventure in a mobile educational display that can be used at future agriculture-based events and for years to come. The Family Farm Adventure will be open Sept. 14-16 during Cheese Days weekend.
