FREEPORT - The University of Illinois Extension-Stephenson County Master Gardeners will host a Woodland Wildflower Walk on Tuesday, May 12, at Oakdale Nature Preserve, 4433 Cranes Grove Road, Freeport. The program will begin at 6 p.m. in the Mogle Center with a short presentation followed by a walk through the woods to look at the wildflowers in bloom at Oakdale Nature Preserve. Discussion, led by Barb Schaefer, Master Gardener, will include woodland wildflowers found in Northwest Illinois and sources for purchasing wildflowers.
