Event to focus on genealogy

MONROE - The Monroe Public Library and the Green County Genealogical Society are co-sponsoring a Genealogy Work Night from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 16. The doors will be locked at 6:45 p.m., as the event is being held outside of the library's normal hours.

Held bi-annually, the event brings genealogists together for uninterrupted research and use of equipment, evening access to the Green County Genealogical Society's collection and exchange of research advice and tips. Refreshments will be served. The event is free, but advance registration is required. To register, call 608-325-7010 or visit the library at 925 16th Ave.
