Bill and Sue Pick, Monroe, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Pick, to Brian Butzler, son of Dean and Vickie Butzler, Beloit.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Monroe High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a masters of professional accountancy degree. She is employed as an audit associate at KPMG, LLP in Milwaukee.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Beloit Turner High School. He joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 2002 and recently returned from Afghanistan after a one-year tour of duty. He is currently pursuing an elementary education degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where the couple met while competing on the cross country and track teams.
An Oct. 2 wedding is planned at Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Church in Cedarville, Ill., with a reception to follow at the Freeport Country Club in Freeport, Ill.
