MONROE — A celebration of life for former Monroe High School ag teacher John Emmons will be at 1 p.m. at the Koning Maple Lane Event Center.

There will be food, followed by a brief program. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear FFA colors (National Blue and Corn Gold), FFA attire, or even their old jacket. 

The John Emmons Memorial Fund has been established at the First National Bank in Monroe to further his impact in the community.
