Electronics recycling is Sept. 22

NEW GLARUS - The Green County Habitat for Humanity will host an electronics and appliance recycling event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the New Glarus High School, 1701 2nd St.

Items that are being accepted are washers, dryers, computers, monitors, microwaves, computers, DVD or VCR Players, CRT CPU or flat screen monitors, central air and window units, washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, pizza ovens, blenders, pots/pans, copper and aluminum items, steel chairs and tables, refrigerators (empty), batteries, cell phones and medical equipment. Tube TVs will be accepted for a $10 fee.

The recycling event is controlled by Green Enterprizes Inc. Green Enterprizes will provide a certificate of destruction for all computer hard drives.
