Easter Cantata will be Sunday

MONROE - The choir of Union Presbyterian Church, 2707 5th St., will present their Easter Cantata, "Witness" by Lloyd Larson, at its 10 a.m. church service on Sunday, April 27.

"Witness" tells the tale of Christ's journey to the cross through the eyes of people who witnessed the final days of his earthly life.

Participating in the choir is: Susan Anderson, Bobbie Bernet, Hans Bernet, Sarah Bodell, Dennis Cappel, Larry Coffey, Natalie Dillon, Tracy Dillon, Tina Duemler, Nan Edmunds, Kathy Fleege, Jonna Heins, Cindi Miller, Daryl Miller, Gerry Miller, Paul Nelson, Jo Ellen Mosher, Kathy Reffue, Brad Richardson, Marilyn Sandin-Ross, Jacob Scherer, Donna Schluesche, George Vernon and Elain Wuethrich.

The drum ensemble includes Bobbie Bernet, Patrick Bodell, Sarah Bodell, Kay Carter-Heath, Bruce Duemler, Jonna Heins, Al Hudson, Rev. Jesse Larson and Diana Oostdik. The violinist is David Shon.

Narrating the cantata is Larson, Oostdik, Nelson, Daryl Miller, Scherer and Coffey. The choir is accompanied by Mary Soddy and directed by Maynard Heins.
