DARLINGTON - The Pecatonica River Chapter of Ducks Unlimited annual fund raiser banquet and auction will be Tuesday, March 1 at Bridges, Darlington. Local conservationists, sportsmen, and wetlands supporters are invited.

"This is the 11th year we've held this event," said John Elliot, event chairman. "This community has always been supportive of DU's conservation work. The banquet is a great opportunity to have fun with neighbors, bid on some auctions, and the money we raise goes to support wetland and waterfowl conservation. We're especially excited to be celebrating 100,000 Wisconsin acres conserved this year."

Tickets to the event are $45 per person and $70 per couple. The tickets include dinner and a Ducks Unlimited membership. There will be a silent auction as well as a live auction featuring an array of guns and other Ducks Unlimited merchandise including prints, sculptures and other home goods.

Several items also will be raffled off and tickets for the raffles will be available for purchase during the event. The raffle includes more than 30 fire arms, including a Remington 887; 10 door guns, which are 770 30-06 with scope; Mossberg 4x4; Henry Golden Boy; four pistols; and a Weartherby to name a few.
