Rachel Anne Retrum and Michael Timothy Droessler were united in marriage on May 24, 2009, at The Queen of the Holy Rosary Chapel, Sinsinawa. The reception was held at the Hotel Julien Dubuque, Iowa.

Parents of the bride are Dick and Sue Retrum, Blanchardville. Parents of the groom are Tim and Michele Droessler, Hazel Green.

Matron of Honor was Tonia Jorgenson, sister of the bride. Maid of Honor was Natalie Retrum, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Marah Odgers, sister of the groom, Marissa Droessler, sister of the groom, Sara Erickson, Heather Brant and Lauren Welch.

Best man was Nick Droessler, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Eric Odgers, brother-in-law of the groom, Jason Retrum, brother of the bride, Hans Retrum, brother of the bride, Corey Jorgenson, brother-in-law of the bride, and Eric Heim.

Ushers were Bennett Droessler, cousin of the groom, Josh Fine, Chris Kolbe and Wade Wyse. Personal attendants were Amanda McWilliams and Lisa Vogel.

Flower girls were Johanna and Georgia Jorgenson, nieces of the bride, Avery and Ella Peterson, cousins of the bride. Ring bear was Haakon Peterson, cousin of the bride.

Rachel is employed at First Capitol Ag, Galena, Ill. Michael is employed at Galena Masonry, Galena, Ill.

The couple honeymooned in Europe. They currently reside in Galena.
