Driver Opera House Restoration receives grant

DARLINGTON — The Driver Opera House Restoration, Inc. recently announced it received a grant from the Darlington Area Community Fund Spring 2024 Grant Cycle of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to support their project entitled “Performance Showcase Events.”

The Driver Opera House works to sponsor events from August 2024 to July 2025 to help increase tourism to the community, county and region. The Darlington Community Foundation Grant will assist with the Driver Opera House performance stipends and to cover any other performance expenses. 

The grant is made available from the Community Foundation’s Darlington Area Community Fund. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin is an important resource for many area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services are working for the betterment of the local communities. Grants from the Darlington Area Community Fund have supported the arts, education, environment, health and human services, and historic preservation.
