DARLINGTON — Chills, thrills, tears, and laughter were supplied last weekend at the Driver Opera House with the Pop Factory Players’ production of The Fantasticks.

The second weekend continues the production of this delightful, dynamic, and funny show at 7 p.m. Sept. 24-25, and at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

CDC guidelines will be in place. Due to sensitivity towards concerned patrons and the instability of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a possible update to the building’s mask policy to maximize an even healthier environment.

Check-out the Driver Opera House Facebook page for last-minute updates. The auditorium space in the Driver Opera House has room for social distancing.

Parking for the Driver Opera House production will be made available in parking lots behind the Driver and Thuli’s Creamery, and near Annie’s on the corners of Washington and Ann Street. After the performances, enjoy food and camaraderie at one of several nearby restaurants-bars in Darlington.

The second-floor Driver Opera House is not handicapped accessible.  There is no elevator, but the stairs have a very sturdy handrail.

Tickets for the show are $20.00 and can be purchased in the Driver Lobby beginning an hour before the shows.

The Driver Opera House is also thankful for the Pop Factory Players, who are are donating all proceeds from the performances of The Fantasticks to the Driver Opera House Restoration.
