DARLINGTON - Darlington Elementary Middle School wil have a combination school orientation and open house for students and parents on Thursday, Aug. 28. Parents of students entering kindergarten have received a separate mailing regarding orientation. Students in first through fourth grades are invited to visit anytime between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Staff will be available to take first through fourth grade students new to the district on a tour of the building from 4 to 4:20 p.m. and 5:15 to 6 p.m. Class lists will be posted in respective wings, and students are invited to bring school supplies to place in their new classrooms.
Any new fifth through eighth grade students who have scheduling questions or would like to tour the building are invited to stop in the guidance office at 4 p.m. A special orientation session will be held in the gymnasium for fifth through eighth grades from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
Parents are invited to stop in the office to deposit funds in students' electronic lunch accounts, as well as any required fees, beginning Monday, Aug. 18.
