OSHKOSH - University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh announced the names of students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees following the fall semester of the 2013-14 school year.
Graduates were able to receive their degrees at the University's midyear commencement ceremony in May and had degrees conferred over the summer.
Those graduating "Cum Laude" earned at least a 3.5 GPA; those graduating "Magna Cum Laude" earned at least a 3.75 GPA; and those graduating "Summa Cum Laude" earned at least a 3.9 GPA.
Area students included: Benjamin Popp, Belleville, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science; Matthew Stenseth, Belleville, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communication (speech communication); and Megan Thoman, Browntown, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in human services.
FAYETTE, Iowa - Upper Iowa University announced that Kristine Tway, New Glarus, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in psychology in December.
Cum laude is awarded to those with a 3 to 3.59 GPA.
