BRODHEAD - During the Labor Day holiday weekend, Decatur Lake Golf Course participated in Patriot Golf Days, a joint initiative of the PGA of America and the United States Golf Association.
The program enlisted the support of public and private golf courses across the country to collect donations from golfers for the Folds of Honor Foundation. The foundation provides post secondary educational scholarships to children and spouses of military men and women killed or disabled while serving their nation.
Decatur Lake Golf Course donated $1 of each greens fee collected, along with holding a Patriot Golf Day Scramble in which members of the course donated $1 per person. All totaled, the course collected $288 for the foundation.
