SUN PRAIRIE — Compeer Financial, a member-owned Farm Credit cooperative serving Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin, announced that Kimberly Wedig of Darlington, Wis. has been reelected to serve on the organization’s Board of Directors.
Wedig will serve a four-year term and is among three people elected in Compeer’s 2025 Board of Director elections. She was first elected to the Board in 2021.
Wedig and her husband, Joe, operate a dairy and cow-calf show cattle beef farm. She manages financial records and marketing plans, as well as calf care and employee relations. Wedig serves on Compeer Financial’s Compensation and Governance, Corporate Giving, and Young, Beginning and Small Farmer committees. She previously served on the Lafayette County Livestock Auction Committee and co-chaired and clerked the auction at the Lafayette County Fair. The Wedigs have four adult children, three of whom have returned to work on the family farm.
Elections took place via mailed ballots in August. Directors are elected across Compeer’s three regions, which follow state boundaries for the 144 counties the organization serves in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The 15-member Board includes 12 directors elected by member-owners and three appointed by the Board to provide additional expertise and insights.
Additionally, 24 candidates were elected to one-year terms on the nominating committee, which identifies, evaluates and nominates candidates for director positions and future nominating committee roles.
