DARLINGTON — The Lafayette County Historical and Genealogy Society will hold Opening Day for the Darlington Depot and Caboose Museum and Welcome Center Friday, May 23. The Depot will be open Friday and Saturday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with new model and full size railroad displays and artifacts. The Caboose restoration will be completed this summer and a new brick patio added. The public is invited to visit. Luck Cow Gelato and Water as well as t-shirts, books, hats, and cookie cutters will be for sale. ATV trail Maps and tourism information are available for free. No admission charge to visit the depot.
