DARLINGTON - Darlington Children's Theatre will be performing Disney's "The Little Mermaid JR." at 7 p.m. July 29 and 30 and 1 p.m. July 31 in the Darlington High School auditorium.
The musical, based on the animated movie and Broadway production, tells the tale of Ariel as she longs to leave her ocean home and join Prince Eric in the world above. First she will have to convince her father, King Triton, and make a deal with the sea witch Ursula. This production features favorite songs "Under the Sea," "Part of Your World" and "Les Poissons" plus many new ones.
Tickets are $7 and can be purchased only at the door. Proceeds from intermission concessions will go to establishing a Darlington Children's Theatre Scholarship. "The Little Mermaid JR." is dedicated to the memory of Luke Wiegel and Tara Lund, former children's theater performers.
