Customs of Wis. the topic at next Genealogical Society meeting

MONROE - The Green County Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. April 1 in the second-floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library.

The topic will be the customs and traditions of the first people of Wisconsin. Theresa Schenck, professor emeritus attached to the Center for the Study of Upper Midwest Cultures, will discuss the cultural practices of the native people of Wisconsin, including daily life, social organization and religion.

The GCGS Research Center, located in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library, is available for research to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Tuesday and third Saturday and from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Saturday of each month.
