Crossroads to offer Crave youth ministry

MONROE - Crossroads Community Church announces the Crave youth group ministry will be offering the God and Life and God and Church curriculums, which are provided by PRAY.

The curriculums will meet the requirements of the Boy Scouts of America for the religious medallion for people of Protestant or non-denominational Christian faith.

The God and Life curriculum meets the religious medallion requirements for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Venture Crew members ninth grade and older. Any venture crew member interested in the Trust Award must also fulfill this requirement. The curriculum will be led by scout advisor Jackie Klar starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1. The training will continue on the first Wednesday of every month through February.

The God and Church curriculum meets the religious medallion requirements for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Venture Crew members in sixth through eighth grades. The curriculum will be led by scout leader Tom Purdy at the Crave Youth Center, Monroe, starting 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. The training will continue the first Saturday of the month through March.

Workbooks are available from Tracy Hamilton at Heartland Graphics, Monroe. To receive a workbook, call Hamilton, 328-4404. His supplies are limited, but he can reorder based on need.
