BRODHEAD — Covered Bridge Days is still scheduled to run between Friday Aug. 7 and Aug. 9 in Brodhead. This year’s event will look different with more of a local focus.
Covered Bridge Days 2020 will feature: softball tournament, bag tournament, vendors on the square, downtown food vendors including cream puffs and live DJ, tractor display and parade downtown, chicken BBQ, horse show, car show downtown, wildflower walk, open air church service and a concert in Veteran’s Park.

Organizers have taken precautions to enhance public safety of the festival. The promotion of Covered Bridge Days has been scaled back to focus just on the Brodhead community in efforts to reduce the attendance of the festival and limit crowds. Some activities; tractor pull, embrace the race boat rides, wildflower arts festival, 5k walk/run, Friday and Saturday live bands, Chamber beer tent have been canceled for 2020. The downtown vendors will be spaced out to help create social distancing with signage promoting social distancing along with sanitizing stations added. Face masks and frequent hand washing are recommended for those attending the event. Those who are feeling ill should stay home.
