MONROE - Vicki Sasso, representing the Quilts of Valor organization, attended the monthly Courthaus Quilter's Guild meeting on April 25.
She did a presentation explaining the organization. At the end of her presentation, the guild donated five quilts to the Quilts of Valor organization.
These quilts most likely will be presented to Vietnam veterans at the Vietnam Veterans Traveling Wall event to be held in Madison Aug. 11-14.
The guild recently has accepted donations from local businesses and groups and will be making more Quilts of Valor in the upcoming months. For more information on this program, visit www.qovf.org.
