MONROE - Green County Emergency Man-agement is having its annual hazardous weather-tornado spotters training March 22. During this class you will be taught how to correctly identify the development of a tornado and learn more about the development of severe storms.
This free training is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about hazardous weather. The classes are taught by Rusty Kapela, Warning Coordination Me-teorologist with the National Weather Service.
Two sessions are scheduled for Monday, March 22 with the first class beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Green County Justice Center, 2841 6th St., Monroe in the lower level conference rooms. The second class will be at the Browntown Fire Departme-nt/Community Center at 6:30 p.m.
The classes are about two hours and pre-registration is necessary. Call Green County Emergency Mana-gement at 328-9416 by March 18 to register.
