MONROE - The Literacy Council of Green County Ltd. held its annual meeting and family potluck at Union Presbyterian Church April 16.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Spirit Award. This award recognizes and honors those who have been advocates and supporters of adult "learners" receiving services from the organization. Literacy services are offered at no cost.
Spirit Award recipients for 2017 are JoAnn Schwitz of Monroe, Laura Schmiedicke of Monroe and Craig and Katharine Edler of Browntown.
