MONROE — In celebration of Compeer Financial’s 5-year anniversary, Compeer team members packed food kits to support rural communities. The kits were then donated to local organizations dedicated to combating food insecurity.

Kits included kid-friendly and convenient items for families to enjoy while on the go this summer. In total, Compeer Financial’s Fund for Rural America donated 5,364 kits across its three-state territory.

Among the recipients was the Green County Food Pantry. The Green County Food Pantry, Inc. is located at 1129 17th Avenue, Monroe, and is open to any Green County resident for food pick up Mondays from 2-4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. Contact the food pantry at (608) 329-7511 for more information.
