Community input needed for library planning
Monroe Library

MONROE — The Monroe Public Library is looking for input from the community as they make plans for the future. A survey is now available for people to share their thoughts and perspectives. The survey is available from Tuesday, July 14 until Friday, July 31. Adults and children are welcome to respond, and all responses are anonymous. The survey is available in both English and Spanish, and will take only a few minutes.

The survey asks questions such as how often you visit the library, where you get news about the library, what books and materials you like to check out, what events you attend at the library and what you might change about the library. In addition, the survey asks a few demographic questions.

The responses from the survey will inform library decisions moving forward, and will help the library develop a new strategic plan. The library’s current strategic plan, originally developed for 2012-14, was reevaluated and reimagined for 2016-18. Community voices will help bring the library’s plans up-to-date and guide the library in creating goals and initiatives.
